Hi, I just sent in a MAMAA application with a check for my wife and myself. Looks like a lot of fun!
I'm writing to see if you know any steel or pedal steel players who might want to work with me a studio recording environment. I have a few original, more classic country oriented tunes that I plan to record and would like to add that instrument. I'll be willing to pay for the work. Age and gender don't matter.
Anyone can email or call me at 978-837-1285.
Whoops!! I'm sorry. I forgot to give you all my email address. It's [email protected]
Hello all my MCMAA friends!! Dwain (DC) Hathaway here. Some of you knew me way back when as Dwain Donnelly. I am the former bass player with the John Penny Band (before Glenn) and I also worked overnight at WCLB in the early 90's. I just wanted to say HELLO to let everyone know I'm now living back east in NH semi-retired from the music biz & radio. I can NEVER totally retire because it's in my blood as most of you know that feeling. I hope those who see this will shoot me an email to say HI and re-connect. I just joined the MCMAA again and look forward to seeing you all at some events. God Bless You All. Dwain (DC) Hathaway
Just want to say how proud I am to be part of the MCMAA! With all the negative bullshit going around you are still and always will be the number one organization in my book and in many others. These other immatations being created will never match up to the honesty, humbleness and devotion this organization and their staff have always given to the members. I can only hope that people will see thru this other new organization (which I will remane nameless with) that has started and it only being created out of jealousy. Didn't mean to my comment to rude to others, just saying many should open their eyes a little wider to those they put their trust in because you will never find more trust than in the team that run the MCMAA! PROUD MEMBER! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MCMAA! DON'T GIVE UP!
Hello from Frank Swiech , Piano Player for The Bellamy Brothers , and former resident of North Attleboro .....
Hey Y'all! So nice to see Country Music and MCMAA are still alive and well in the Baystate! A special hello to Don Joseph, looks like you've done a great job Don! Keep it Country....NOT Pop! ...db
I had attedned the May 18 jamboree and over heard a conversation outside about some negative things about the MCMAA but to be honest after reading the last post by linda I agree with her. These people give countless hours to run the association. What gives another room to gripe? And as far as the complaint I heard about the bike run from a certain someone LET IT GO! I think St. Judes is happy with the funds they recieved and now it's time to think about your association. As the board stated funds are low and we need the help. So why give it to a charity that recieves thousands of dollars every day. The couple of people are spreading nasty rumors and they need to be stopped. The president by what I heard has put many years into it. That right there deserves a pat on the back and horay for the board that backs him up. Keep doing what your doing MCMAA because it isn't everyone that feels the way these very few people do. And I thank you very much for all the hard work that goes into the association.
Just wanted to let you know I have heard some negative things from certain people as I am sure you are aware. Please realize we ALL DO NOT feel this way. It take alot of time and effort to make things run smoothly. Being a volunteer can be a very thankless job. I know that Don Joseph has put a lot of years into the organization. He is not a perfect man and does his best. The people spreading this vicious rumors should take a look at themselves. The claim to be big supports of the MCMAA, but actually I feel they did the things they did for a pat on the back. I am and have been a member for many, many years and it makes me sick when others find fault with the way the organization is being ran. It's always easy to find fault in others instead of yourself. I have spoke to these individuals but it has fallen on deaf ears. I am asking please for more to take a stand and tell these negative nellies to mind their own business and when they begin to speak basically tell them "I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT". The more we stand together, the more we can make this organization strong.
Here I am. Said I would check the website out. Looks like alot going on. Guess I should get that membership application made out and mailed so I can keep up on where to find you and good country music.
